Mediterranean luxury on an intimate scale

La Voile d’Or or ‘The Golden Sail’ sits on a flower- and sun-blessed spot in the yachting and fishing port of St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Guests can while away the hours on the many terraces overlooking marine vistas, village life and wild lush landscape. Built in a Venetian-style, this intimate resort warmly welcomes their discriminating clientele to a cozy, sea-swept cocoon of luxury where the senses are appeased and relaxation is on the menu.
Rooms, each with a balcony opening to the sea, are decorated with hand-painted furniture, warm wooden floors, antiques and other objets. The light-filled chambers invite private reflection, while the spacious marble bath will rinse away the salt sea and air.
A gourmet restaurant will satisfy those on a tour de cuisine and the beachside restaurant has a relaxed ambience. Also available on site is a beauty treatment center, sauna and two pool with beach recliners.
La Voile d’Or
Location: 7 ave Jean-Mermoz, St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat 06230, France; most often accessed by nearby rail station, then taxi.Luxury style: Privacy, pleasure, peacefulness–the Voile d’Or is a sweet refuge on the sometimes hyperactive Cote d’Azur. A romantic spot for couples of all ages.
What we’ve heard: Like many Mediterranean properties, the view’s the thing. A room with a balcony will alway be preferable to garden views, although one will pay for this privilege.
